no reinvention needed
you are ALREADY your best damn self!

as a 60-something woman, I see loads of content aimed at those of us who are apparently ready to “reinvent” ourselves.
Sounds tempting, doesn’t it?
who wouldn’t want to nutty professor our way to the version of ourselves we always wished we be? Life the way we thought it would be.
we may even have the list ready, of whose face we’d want, whose body, whose talent, the marriage or job or business or success we are sure would make us truly happy.
here’s the truth (that you already know, but I’m here to remind you of): the ONLY way for you to be truly happy is to be truly yourself.
so when we start reinventing ourselves we risk tinkering away the very things that make you YOU!
I am not for you to become a better, bigger, more bad-ass version of yourself.
I AM for you recognizing what a bad-ass you already are. And have been. And always will be.
I AM for celebrating how far you’ve come and how transcendently you’ve handled whatever life threw at you and how much you’ve loved and cared for others.
I AM for you realizing that you already are the very best version of yourself.
no disclaimer needed.
no update necessary.
no sanctification or justification warranted.
I refuse to believe I need to reinvent myself.
let’s do it together.
let’s insist that we are exactly who we need to be, who we GET to be, to have and love and experience and enjoy everything life has for us!
take yourself off the workbench and let yourself run free.
Sue
