ignoring what’s not working doesn’t make you strong, it just makes you stuck.
for the woman ready to admit she's struggling to feel happy, fulfilled, or supported

It’s ok to admit when something’s not working.
I know—it feels wrong, even weak, to admit this. As women, we are SO hard on ourselves. We’d rather “suffer in silence” than admit we aren’t happy, fulfilled, or supported in the ways we want or need.
But here’s the truth: ignoring what’s not working doesn’t make you strong. It just makes you stuck.
It might be in a relationship. Or a job. Or your home environment, routines, or an unsustainable schedule.
And when something is off…
we often choose to ignore it, swallow our discomfort, and keep going
we may feel like we are powerless or no way out
we decide it’s easier, safer, necessary to just keep “going with the flow”…
Even when the flow is dragging our hope and joy straight down the drain.
Even when the flow is leading AWAY from our true heart’s desire.
I’ve seen women stay in jobs way past their expiration date, terrified of rocking the boat.
I’ve seen moms let their adult kids direct their time, as if their lives should continue to revolve around their needs, schedule and convenience. [oops, that just slipped out!]
I’ve seen women buy the religious lie that holiness means self-erasure—that God somehow wanted them to disappear so everyone else could thrive.
I’ve seen women ignore their health, joy, and self-care because no one else in the house supported their efforts and even actively sabotaged them.
Friend, hear me: ignoring what you need or want is not noble. It’s not godly. It’s not faith. It’s bondage.
God never asked you to betray your heart or bury your desires. He never asked you to play small so others could be comfortable.
YOU deserve more. YOU deserve better. And no one gets to tell you that wanting more is selfish. It’s not selfish—it’s sacred.
Your desire for change, your need for healthier rhythms, your hope for something better—that is not rebellion against God’s will. It’s a declaration of it!
It’s time to decide that life gets to work for YOU—not just for the other people in your life.
I believe in you,
Sue
